Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Process Analyst for a fully remote role supporting the U.S. Coast Guard, based in Douglas, Juneau, US. The position offers a salary of $81,645.16.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard.
• Drive rapid delivery of functional applications and automated workflows in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Gather and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure successful implementation.
• Conduct process modeling, gap analysis, and recommend improvements to optimize operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain documentation such as workflow diagrams, use cases, and test plans.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or systems analysis, preferably within a federal or defense environment.
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and process documentation standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Coast Guard or other maritime agency systems.
• Familiarity with automation platforms such as Power Automate or ServiceNow.
• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, PMI‑PBA) or Agile (CSM, SAFe).
