Merck is seeking a Rare Disease Account Specialist to join its sales team in Archer, Laramie County. This role provides clinical and educational support to healthcare providers, helping them deliver optimal care for patients with rare diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver scientific and clinical information about Merck’s rare‑disease portfolio to physicians, pharmacists, and healthcare systems.
- Conduct product trainings, workshops, and educational webinars for clinical staff.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and treatment centers.
- Identify unmet patient needs and communicate market insights back to internal teams.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (medical affairs, marketing, compliance) to align resources and strategies.
- Track and report on account activities, performance metrics, and ROI.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical affairs, or clinical support, preferably in rare diseases.
- Strong understanding of rare‑disease therapeutics, clinical trial processes, and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear messages.
- Proven ability to work independently and within a team‑oriented environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Compensation
Base salary: $192,836.25 per year (fixed). Additional performance‑based incentives may apply.
