Job Summary
Merck is seeking an Associate Director – Global Swine Technical Nutritionist to join its Animal Health division in Archer, Laramie County, US. This senior technical role provides worldwide nutrition expertise to support marketing, commercial, and R&D initiatives for the global swine business.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑level nutritional science guidance across the full product lifecycle, from concept through launch and post‑market support.
- Partner with global marketing, sales, and R&D teams to translate scientific data into compelling product positioning and customer solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical nutrition strategies that align with market trends and regulatory requirements.
- Lead scientific presentations, webinars, and training sessions for internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Provide technical support for feed formulation, efficacy studies, and field trials.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to generate scientific publications, white papers, and conference abstracts.
- Monitor competitor activities and emerging research to ensure Merck’s swine portfolio remains scientifically superior.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or advanced degree in Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Science, Animal Science, or related field.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in swine nutrition, preferably within the animal health or feed industry.
- Proven track record of delivering technical support to global marketing and commercial teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting scientific data and conducting statistical analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization and influence stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
