If you are passionate about expanding access to mental health services, this role is for you.

About the Role

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and prescribe medications when appropriate. You will work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and primary care providers to ensure seamless continuity of care for adolescents, adults, and older adults.

This role is fully remote, allowing you to design a schedule that balances clinical productivity with personal well‑being. You will utilize a secure, HIPAA‑compliant video platform and an integrated EHR system to document encounters, track outcomes, and communicate with the care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and follow‑up psychiatric evaluations via secure video platform.
  • Diagnose mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and substance use disorders.
  • Formulate evidence‑based treatment plans that combine psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy, and lifestyle interventions.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Provide individual psychotherapy using modalities such as CBT, DBT, and supportive counseling.
  • Conduct psychoeducation sessions for patients and families to improve adherence and coping skills.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate referrals to community resources, social services, and inpatient facilities when needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and participate in chart audits.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training webinars to stay current on best practices.

  • Proven competence with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar).
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and cultural competence.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative virtual team.
  • Commitment to evidence‑based practice, continuous learning, and staying abreast of emerging treatments.
