About This Position

Job Summary

The Device Tech_MGFR role at Intermountain Health in Urbanización El Vedado, San Juan provides clinical, educational, research and administrative support for the implantable device program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate on‑site and remote interrogations of implantable cardiac and neuro‑stimulation devices.
  • Collect, validate and upload device data to the secure internet‑based database.
  • Support patients in submitting home‑monitoring data and troubleshoot transmission issues.
  • Maintain and update multiple research databases for ongoing clinical studies.
  • Assist with protocol development, data analysis, and preparation of study reports.
  • Provide education and training to clinical staff and patients on device usage and data management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, engineers, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with FDA and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, health sciences, or related field.
  • Experience with implantable device interrogation, data acquisition, and remote monitoring platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in database management (e.g., REDCap, SQL).
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Knowledge of clinical research processes and regulatory requirements.

Compensation

Annual salary: $79,233 (fixed). Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.
