Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a Claims Representative II to work remotely from Bismarck, Burleigh County, US. This role focuses on handling auto liability claims for Ryder’s self‑insured, self‑administered program.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage low to mid‑range bodily injury and property damage auto liability claims from first notice of loss through settlement.
• Interpret coverage language, policy contracts, and state regulations to determine claim validity.
• Communicate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve issues.
• Prepare detailed claim files, adjuster notes, and settlement recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for cost containment and fraud detection.
• Collaborate with the commercial auto claims team when overlapping issues arise.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience handling auto liability claims, preferably within a self‑insured environment.
• Strong knowledge of coverage forms, contracts, and state auto liability statutes.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Commercial auto claims experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management, or related field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $62,944.51 annually.
