Associate Legal Counsel – Corporate Trust (Remote Hybrid)

UMB Bank is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel – Corporate Trust to work remotely with a hybrid schedule, based in Bismarck, Burleigh County, US. The role focuses on structured finance, escrow, municipal and corporate trust transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and comment on structured finance documents, escrow agreements, municipal and corporate bond and note documentation.
• Provide legal recommendations and draft amendments to protect Corporate Trust’s interests.
• Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with external counsel, trustees, and banking partners throughout transaction lifecycles.
• Support the preparation of internal reports and maintain accurate transaction records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission.
• 2‑5 years of experience in corporate trust, structured finance, or related banking law.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and standard office software.

Compensation

Annual salary: $90,718.01
