Job Summary

Ryder System is seeking a Claims Representative II to work remotely from Douglas, Juneau, US. This role focuses on handling auto liability claims under Ryder’s self‑insured program, providing excellent customer service and accurate claim resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage low to mid‑range bodily injury and property damage auto liability claims from first notice to settlement.
• Evaluate coverage, policy terms, and contract language to determine claim validity.
• Communicate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and internal stakeholders to gather information and negotiate settlements.
• Document all claim activities in the company’s claims management system with precision and timeliness.
• Identify trends and recommend process improvements to reduce loss exposure.
• Support senior claim staff with complex or high‑value cases as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience handling auto liability claims, preferably within a self‑insured or self‑administered environment.
• Strong knowledge of coverage, contracts, and state insurance regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage a caseload efficiently.
• Commercial auto claim experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation & Benefits
