Senior Process Analyst
About This Position
GovCIO is seeking a Senior Process Analyst to support the design, development, and maintenance of mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based out of Archer, Laramie County, WY.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive rapid delivery of functional applications and automated workflows in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
- Analyze, model, and document business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and project managers to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Maintain and update process documentation, data flow diagrams, and user guides.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed solutions.
- Provide mentorship to junior analysts and support continuous process‑improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or similar roles, preferably within federal or defense contracting environments.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and workflow automation tools.
- Proficiency with modeling techniques (UML, BPMN) and documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Security clearance eligibility for a United States Secret clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with U.S. Coast Guard or other maritime agency projects.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Certification such as CBAP, PMP, or ITIL.
Compensation
Salary range: $82,104.20 per year.
