Junior ServiceNow Developer

Job Summary

GovCIO is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. This fully remote role is based in Uptown, Marion County, US.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to create functional ServiceNow applications and automated workflows.
• Follow the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP) to ensure quality, security, and compliance.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving incidents and service requests.
• Maintain and update configuration items, data tables, and integrations with other ITSM tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of ServiceNow platform components (e.g., Incident, Change, Request, Service Catalog).
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.

Preferred Experience

• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow development or administration (internships, projects, or certifications).
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Security clearance eligibility for U.S. government contracts.

Compensation

Salary range: $83,886.92 per year.
