RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking a RES eVA Cyber Security Associate to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. The role supports the eVA Authority to Operation (ATO) process and offers a fixed salary of $90,242.98.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATO documentation, including SSP control narratives, risk assessment inputs, IRP/ISCP sections, and configuration management artifacts.
• Manage daily updates in eMASS, handling POA&M edits, control evidence uploads, and status tracking.
• Collaborate with system owners, engineers, and auditors to ensure compliance with DoD and Federal security standards.
• Assist in vulnerability remediation, continuous monitoring, and security incident response activities.
• Provide guidance on security controls, risk mitigation strategies, and documentation best practices.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• Experience in cyber security engineering, preferably with eVA or similar federal cloud environments.
• Familiarity with eMASS, RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and ATO documentation processes.
• Strong written communication skills for creating clear, concise security artifacts.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work on federal information systems or cloud migration projects.
• Experience with continuous monitoring tools and vulnerability management platforms.
• Certification such as CISSP, Security+, or DoD 8570‑01‑M.
