Job Summary
The Hartford is hiring a Vocational Case Manager for its Group Disability Claims office in Uptown, Marion County, US. This role supports individuals returning to work after injury or illness, providing clinical and vocational rehabilitation guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess claimants’ functional abilities and work‑related limitations.
- Develop and coordinate individualized vocational rehabilitation plans.
- Collaborate with medical providers, employers, and insurance adjusters to facilitate safe return‑to‑work outcomes.
- Maintain accurate case documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct job analysis, identify suitable job accommodations, and provide job‑placement assistance.
- Monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and prepare detailed reports for management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 2 years experience in clinical or vocational rehabilitation, preferably within insurance or workers’ compensation.
- Strong knowledge of disability law, ADA, and return‑to‑work best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with case management software and MS Office suite.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for site visits.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $79,879.98 annually (fixed). Competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
