About This Position
GovCIO is hiring a Clinical Informatics Director (MD/DO) to lead senior clinical strategy for complex healthcare technology projects, working fully remote from Chisolm, Montgomery County, US. The role bridges clinical operations with digital health solutions, ensuring technology aligns with provider workflows and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive clinical leadership for large‑scale health IT initiatives, including EHR implementations, telehealth platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clinicians, IT teams, and vendor partners to translate clinical needs into technical requirements.
- Develop and enforce clinical governance, safety, and compliance standards across all digital health solutions.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams in workflow redesign, change management, and user training to maximize adoption and improve care quality.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, patient outcomes, and return‑on‑investment for technology projects.
- Advise senior leadership on emerging health‑tech trends, regulatory impacts, and strategic opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with an active, unrestricted license in the United States.
- Minimum 8 years of clinical experience plus 5 years in health informatics, clinical informatics, or related leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing large, multi‑vendor health IT deployments (EHR, CDSS, telehealth, population health).
- Strong understanding of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD) and data security regulations (HIPAA, HITECH).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change‑management skills.
- Eligibility for US Government Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Compensation & Benefits
