About the Role

As a Remote Electrical Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind high‑impact electrical projects ranging from utility‑scale solar farms to commercial building retrofits. You will partner with engineers, contractors, and clients to define scope, develop detailed work plans, and monitor progress through every phase—design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. Your ability to anticipate risks, resolve issues quickly, and keep stakeholders informed will be critical to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop project charters, schedules, and cost estimates using industry‑standard tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
• Lead cross‑functional teams, assigning tasks and tracking performance against milestones.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate weekly progress meetings, prepare status reports, and escalate issues to senior leadership when needed.
• Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiate change orders, and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes.
• Oversee procurement of electrical equipment, coordinate logistics, and verify material specifications.
• Conduct post‑project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (PE license preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience managing electrical projects, preferably in renewable energy, commercial, or industrial sectors.
• Proven track record of delivering multi‑million‑dollar projects on schedule and within budget.

Technical & Soft Skills

• Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet) and CAD/BIM tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control wiring.
• Excellent communication skills—able to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
