Structural Engineer – home based

CRC Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to work from home, supporting a fast‑growing property team based in The Park, Nottingham. The role offers a fixed £60,000 salary and involves defect analysis and calculations for residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural defect inspection surveys on a variety of residential properties.
• Perform detailed structural calculations and produce comprehensive reports.
• Identify and recommend remedial solutions for identified defects.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineers to ensure design compliance.
• Assist in occasional commercial projects, providing expertise as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to industry standards and health & safety regulations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualified Civil or Structural Engineer (MEng, BEng or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Proven track record in structural defect inspection and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, Eurocode and BS standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD, RISA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently from a home office.
