About This Position

Job Summary

Pull Skill Technologies is hiring a Data Center Network Design Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. This full‑time W‑2 position offers a competitive rate of $60 per hour (approximately $148,946.53 annually) with benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and document large‑scale enterprise and data‑center network architectures.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are scalable, resilient, and meet performance requirements.
  • Create detailed schematics, bill of materials, and routing diagrams for data‑center fabric, core, aggregation, and edge layers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, capacity planning, and risk assessments for new network deployments.
  • Provide technical guidance during installation, configuration, and testing phases.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date design standards, best practices, and reference architectures.
  • Support post‑implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing enterprise and data‑center networks (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or similar).
  • Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS), switching fabrics, VLANs, and network virtualization (VXLAN, NVGRE).
  • Hands‑on experience with data‑center technologies such as leaf‑spine architectures, DCI, MPLS, and SD‑WAN.
  • Proficiency in network design tools (Visio, Lucidchart, NetBrain) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for cross‑functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or equivalent) are a plus.
