Security Architect – Columbia, SC ( 100% REMOTE ) – 12 Months – W2 role

Job Summary

ERPA is seeking a Security Architect for a 12‑month W2 contract, working 100% remotely from Columbia, SC. This role supports large‑scale IT environments and drives security automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise‑wide security architectures aligned with industry best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews for system deployments.
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance on secure configuration, network segmentation, and identity & access management.
• Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and compliance reports.
• Participate in virtual interview processes and, if required, an onsite second round.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in information security architecture.
• At least 5 years supporting large IT environments or complex system deployments.
• 5+ years of strong scripting/automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Proven ability to design secure cloud and on‑premises solutions (AWS, Azure, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills for virtual collaboration and documentation.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $84,380.29 (W2 contractor).
