EPIC Clarity Data Engineer (100% REMOTE/NO C2C)

Amerit Consulting is seeking an experienced EPIC BI Data Engineer for a 100% remote position supporting a large medical center affiliated with a California public Ivy university. This W‑2 role is open to candidates authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain EPIC Clarity data models and ETL pipelines.
• Collaborate with clinical analysts and informatics teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for performance and reliability.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide technical support for reporting tools and assist in the creation of dashboards for clinicians and administrators.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a BI/Data Engineer, preferably with EPIC Clarity.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
• Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• U.S. work authorization – no sponsorship or C2C/1099 arrangements.

Preferred Experience

• Hands‑on experience with EPIC Reporting Workbench, Crystal Reports, or Tableau.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and data security best practices.
• Prior work in a large academic medical center or health system.
