About This Position
AccentCare, Inc. is seeking a part‑time Hospice Medical Director & Team Physician to provide expert clinical oversight and direct patient care for the Greater San Antonio area. This hybrid role offers approximately 10 hours per week of remote and on‑site work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hospice clinical team, ensuring high‑quality, compassionate care for patients and families.
- Conduct virtual and in‑person patient evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and oversee symptom management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff, including nurses, social workers, and chaplains, to coordinate comprehensive hospice services.
- Provide education, mentorship, and performance feedback to hospice physicians and allied health professionals.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and AccentCare policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data reporting to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Current, unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in hospice or palliative care preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for virtual and face‑to‑face interactions.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and maintain documentation accuracy.
Compensation & Benefits
