About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our distributed team. You’ll create detailed mechanical drawings, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative products. As a Remote Mechanical Designer, you’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and manufacturers to bring ideas to life using advanced CAD tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software
• Create detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine designs
• Perform design analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent)

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) principles

Salary Range Estimation

$60,000 – $85,000 USD/year

Earnings vary based on experience, skill level, and project complexity. Top performers can earn above this range with additional responsibilities.
