Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, professional interpretation on‑site for clients in a variety of sectors, including healthcare facilities, courts, schools and corporate meetings.
• Prepare terminology glossaries and briefings before assignments to ensure subject‑matter expertise.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, GDPR and other relevant compliance standards.
• Document interpretation notes, time‑cards and any follow‑up actions promptly.
• Collaborate with Baystate’s scheduling team to manage availability and travel logistics.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in English and at least one of the languages covered by Baystate’s portfolio (minimum 350 languages).
• Professional interpreting certification or equivalent experience (e.g., NAATI, ATA, or state‑approved medical/legal interpreter credentials).
• Proven experience interpreting in at least two of the following domains: medical, legal, educational, or business.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as an independent contractor.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Northeast region.
