Involgix is hiring a Mainframe DevOps Architect to lead DevOps transformation for mainframe environments. This senior, remote‑first role is based in Five Corners, Hudson County, US, with a competitive annual salary of $162,327.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end DevOps strategies for IBM Z mainframe platforms.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, UrbanCode Deploy, and IBM UrbanCode Release.
• Integrate legacy COBOL, PL/I, and Assembler applications with modern cloud services and container technologies.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve release frequency and reduce lead time.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to enforce compliance, monitoring, and observability standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to cross‑functional teams on mainframe DevOps best practices.
• Evaluate emerging tools and technologies, recommending continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mainframe development and operations.
• Proven track record designing and executing DevOps transformations for large‑scale legacy systems.
• Deep knowledge of IBM Z, z/OS, CICS, DB2, and related development toolchains.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, UrbanCode) and scripting languages (Shell, Python, REXX).
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and ITIL frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as IBM Certified Solution Architect – Z/OS, Certified DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Platform credentials.
• Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) on Z and hybrid cloud environments.
