About This Position
People First Ltd is seeking a Cantonese or Mandarin speaking IT Operator for a banking client in Farringdon, Central London. This role offers a competitive salary up to £54,000 and a mix of office and remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line IT support to banking users, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
- Monitor and maintain critical banking systems, ensuring 24/7 availability.
- Log incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system following ITIL best practices.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on system upgrades and security patches.
- Assist with user onboarding and device provisioning, delivering support in Cantonese or Mandarin as required.
- Participate in shift handovers and produce clear documentation for continuity.
Required Skills & Experience
- Fluent spoken and written Cantonese or Mandarin.
- Proven experience in IT operations or help‑desk support, preferably within a financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Office 365, and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a shift‑based team.
Working Hours & Location
- Morning shift: 08:30 – 16:30 (80% office attendance per month).
- Normal shift: 09:00 – 17:00 (80% office attendance per month).
- Night shift: 14:30 – 22:30 (fully remote – work from home).
- Start date: ASAP.
