Senior Fire Engineer – Remote

Job Summary

Liquid is seeking two Senior Fire Engineers to work remotely on UK projects, based in Rusholme, Manchester. This senior role offers a competitive salary of £85,000 and involves delivering fire engineering and building‑safety services for residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead fire engineering design and calculations for a variety of building types.
• Produce fire strategy reports, risk assessments and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and client teams to integrate fire safety solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UK building regulations, BS 9999, and emerging fire safety standards.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals and client presentations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Professional engineering qualification (MEng, BEng, or equivalent) with Chartered status or progressing towards it.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in fire engineering, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Proven experience with fire modelling software (e.g., PyroSim, Pathfinder, Fire Dynamics Simulator).
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Approved Document B, and fire safety codes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple remote projects and meet deadlines.
