Logistics and Operations Planner (FMCG)

Job Summary

RecruitAbility Ltd is looking for a Logistics and Operations Planner (FMCG) in Elsenham, Bishop’s Stortford. This 6‑month fixed‑term role offers a hybrid schedule (1 day remote) and a salary of £50,000‑£55,000 pro rata.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed operational delivery plans for fast‑moving consumer goods projects.
• Coordinate with warehouse, fleet and transport teams to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
• Monitor stock levels, forecast demand and adjust planning to minimise excess or shortage.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve service reliability.
• Produce regular performance reports and present insights to senior management.
• Support health and safety compliance and ensure all activities meet regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, transport planning or fleet management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel, ERP or planning software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of driving continuous improvement.
