Job Summary

Request Technology, LLC is seeking a Manager of Cloud Engineering for its permanent full‑time team in Schiller Park, Cook County, US. Lead a group of six cloud engineers and drive automation across AWS, DevOps, containerization, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of 6 cloud engineers.
• Design, configure, and implement fully automated workflows for provisioning and maintaining highly available cloud environments.
• Oversee infrastructure‑as‑code practices using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Manage container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and streaming solutions like Kafka.
• Ensure security, compliance, and cost‑optimization across all cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align cloud strategy with business objectives.
• Develop and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, and Kafka.
• Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CKAD/CKA.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Knowledge of security frameworks (IAM, VPC, encryption, compliance).

Work Arrangement & Compensation

This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite in Schiller Park and 2 days remote. Salary is $164,484.31 per year. No sponsorship is available.
