SOC Analyst

Dexian DISYS is hiring a SOC Analyst to work remotely from Mount Rainier, Prince George’s County (EST time zone). The role covers weekend shifts (Sat‑Mon) with 12‑hour days and offers a fixed salary of $127,079 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security event triage and analysis, staying current on emerging threats and attacker tactics.
• Conduct limited incident response activities, including containment and remediation.
• Analyze logs, network traffic, endpoint data, and other sources for indicators of compromise.
• Respond to a variety of attack vectors such as data exfiltration, DDoS, ransomware, and malware.
• Document findings, create concise incident reports, and recommend preventive measures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection platforms.
• Familiarity with common attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK), threat hunting, and incident response processes.
• Ability to work independently during off‑hours and handle high‑pressure situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear incident documentation.

This is a remote position (EST) with a fixed weekend schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (three consecutive 12‑hour shifts).
