Job Summary

Request Technology, LLC is hiring a Manager of Cloud Engineering in Highland Park, Dallas (US). Lead a team of six cloud engineers in a hybrid role (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) to design, build, and operate advanced AWS‑based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6 cloud engineers specializing in AWS, DevOps, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and related technologies.
• Design, configure, and implement fully automated, infrastructure‑as‑code workflows for provisioning, scaling, and maintaining highly available cloud environments.
• Ensure robust monitoring, security, and compliance across all cloud services.
• Collaborate with product, security, and operations teams to align cloud strategy with business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement, performance tuning, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Develop documentation, standards, and best practices for cloud architecture and operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and high‑availability design patterns.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with serverless architectures and multi‑cloud strategies.
• Background in implementing SRE/DevOps best practices.

Employment Details

Compensation

Annual salary: $151,433.55
