Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach Patient Access staff during evening shifts (typically 4 pm‑midnight).

- Coordinate with nursing, physicians, and ancillary services to prioritize patient flow and reduce wait times.
- Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., door‑to‑room time, registration accuracy) and implement process improvements.
- Handle escalated patient concerns, resolve conflicts, and ensure high satisfaction scores.
- Maintain accurate shift reports, staffing logs, and regulatory documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality initiatives, and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health administration preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in patient access, registration, or medical front‑desk roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification, HIPAA regulations, and emergency department workflows.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient registration software.
