Ochsner Health System is seeking a full‑time Adult Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) in New Orleans, Orleans Parish. Choose a day shift (7 a.m.–7 p.m.) or night shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) and receive a sign‑on bonus.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult patients in acute, critical care and step‑down units.
• Perform assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and adjust ventilator settings.
• Administer aerosol therapies, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy according to physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and discharge planning.
• Document all interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Louisiana.
• Minimum 1 year of adult respiratory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ventilator modes, arterial blood gas interpretation, and emergency airway management.
• Excellent communication, critical‑thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible days or nights as selected.
