About the Role

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and prescribe medications as appropriate. You will deliver therapy and psychoeducation through video visits, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions based on clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial psychiatric assessments and follow‑up evaluations via secure video conferencing.
• Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM‑5 criteria and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Provide evidence‑based psychotherapy, including CBT, DBT, and supportive counseling.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and case managers to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate in weekly clinical case conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging research and integrate best practices into patient care.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry/Mental Health.
• Current, active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in good standing (state licensure required; multi‑state licensure preferred).
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC) or equivalent.
• DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing psychiatric care to adults, adolescents, or children.
• Proven proficiency with telehealth platforms and digital health tools.
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and managing caseloads in outpatient or community settings.
